Don’t run away on me yet, loyal readers.  I totally plan on blogging even more starting next week.  Unfortunately, this week, I am training someone at work and I’m afraid that if I started blogging, I’d say things about that which I shouldn’t, so after Friday, when I’m FINALLY done with this place, I can vent all I want.  I also plan on blogging about things that matter. Current events, movies, music, video games, what color my underwear are, where I like to set my handbag, you know … All the juicy stuff!  So, pleaseeeeee hang in there.  Give me a week and I’ll be ready.  In the meantime, I’m keeping up with my 365project, so go check that out.  Click the link at the bottom to go over there!

365 Project!

3/25/2011 … That didn’t work, so I took the page down. Sorry!

Perplexed state of mind: Video Games

For the last several months, my video game playing has declined DRASTICALLY.  My 360 gets played about once every 2-3 months.  I define part of my being as a “gamer”; even have the tattoos to prove it.  So, I decided I needed to get back into games.  No matter what gen they were, I needed to get more play time in.

I kicked this off by writing on Dylan’s wall: Since then, I have played Dreamcast, Playstation and Super Nintendo games.  That is what brings me to the point of this blog.  The main question that puzzles my mind…. Have games gotten easier?

Crazy Taxi is a time based game, so as long as you can stand to not crash into EVERYTHING, it is exactly what it is.  The same is true to any racing type game these days.  Resident Evil 3: Nemesis however, holy crap.  Now, granted, the controls are a bit weird compared to games these days, but I died in the initial scene … TWICE.  Yet, I can play through the levels in Clive Barker’s Jericho like it’s nothing, well, not nothing, but I can get through them. Then, today I went to play some Mega Man X and got TOTALLY owned.  So, I managed to get to the FIRST boss on my last life and got killed, nearly immediately.  Then, I went for another go and died before getting to the boss….  Have we lowered the difficulty in video games?  Did going from 2D to 3D really change the dynamic that much?  I used to pwn Mega Man games. Now, fuh-get-about-it.  And, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, well, lets not call that 3D. 😛   I remember getting that game for Playstation and hardly dying, if ever!  I just wonder what is happening to my gaming skills as a hole.  So many games from my childhood I can remember being left unbeaten.  Maybe that’s due to a lack of save features and unlimited continues that we’ve seemed to adapt in the newer generations.  Do you think that the gaming experience has been improved by not having to re-do things that you did before you lost your last life?  That question is probably too complex to answer with a “yes” or “no”.  I can tell you this much: Without the revita-chamber in Bioshock, life TRULY would have been miserable.

I will end tonight’s post with this:
I just WON a BLACK Sega Dreamcast on eBay.  ALRIGHT!

Everything feels right in the world again.

worst friend … EVER!

my best friend and brother of 23 years officially booked his fiances dream wedding in Jamaica.  At over $3,000, there’s no way in hell I will be able to make it.  Making me the worst best friend, in my opinion, on the planet.  I hope that a bus hits me before then.  I won’t be able to bare that feeling afterward…. Hopefully I can nap this feeling away before work now.

13 hours of moving and driving on very little sleep…
